Money Advice Liaison Group (MALG), the UK not-for-profit membership organisation whose aim is ‘working together to improve the lives of people in debt’, has gained Cyber Essentials accreditation for a second year.

Cyber Essentials accreditation is a self-assessed information security standard which requires organisations to have a number of technical and procedural controls in place to mitigate common internet-borne cyber attacks. MALG first became Cyber Essentials-accredited in April 2021 and has now been issued with a new Certificate of Assurance covering the period up to March 2023.

Bob Winnington, MALG’s chief exec, said:

“We are very pleased to have once again been certified as compliant across all areas of the Cyber Essentials assessment and will be proudly using our accreditation to reassure our members and key stakeholders that we uphold excellent information security standards.”
