Financial Inclusion Commission (FIC) has launched a new report calling on the next UK Government to bring forward a National Financial Inclusion Strategy.
‘Fixing Financial Exclusion across the Four Nations’ summarises research FIC commissioned from CHASM – Centre on Household Assets and Savings Management that will be released in full this Autumn. It highlights the impact of the cost of living crisis, digital exclusion, regional inequalities and more.
The research reveals that millions are still under-served by financial services, impacting their wellbeing and economic participation. FIC has written to Jeremy Hunt, Rachel Reeves, and representatives of all major UK parties, to urge them to prioritise financial inclusion if they form the next UK Government.
