Money Advice Liaison Group (MALG), the UK not-for-profit membership organisation whose aim is ‘working together to improve the lives of people in debt’, has gained Cyber Essentials accreditation.

Cyber Essentials accreditation is a self-assessed information security standard which requires organisations to have a number of technical and procedural controls in place to mitigate common internet-borne cyber attacks. MALG was issued with a Cyber Essentials Certificate of Assurance on 21 April 2021.

Bob Winnington, MALG’s chief exec, said:

“We are very pleased to have been certified as compliant across all areas of the Cyber Essentials assessment and will be proudly using our accreditation to reassure our members and key stakeholders that we uphold excellent information security standards.”
