Money Advice Scotland has launched a new campaign and report called ‘Dignity First‘. It is a call for compassion and understanding in discussions about money and debt.
Money Advice Scotland believes that people experiencing financial challenges deserve to access and receive support without fear of judgement and that by changing language, this stigma can be challenged and the barriers that hinder access to money and debt advice can be dismantled.
The campaign calls for a collective effort to make conversational change to end the use of stigmatising language.
