The Enforcement Conduct Board (ECB), which was set up in 2022 to ensure that all those who are subject to enforcement action in England and Wales are fairly treated, has opened a consultation on its Business Plan for 2023/24.
The consultation welcomes feedback from industry, consumer groups, those who have experience with enforcement themselves, the debt advice sector and any others with an interest in effective oversight of the industry, by 13 April 2023.
Prior to this formal consultation, the ECB sought feedback on an earlier draft of its business plan through its newly established Stakeholder Engagement Forum, which includes representatives from the enforcement industry and the debt advice sector. In future years, the ECB will aim to start the business planning process earlier in the year, to enable more time for public consultation.
