Hello to all our MALG Members and contacts,

Thank you to everyone who took part in our first ever MALG Virtual Connect event last week, which was a huge success! Registered delegates should now have received an email with exclusive access to delegate resources including approved speaker presentation slides. We’ve also circulated a very brief evaluation survey but if you have any further comments or feedback, please email them to info@malg.org.uk.

With the Easter weekend coming up, there will be no MALG Members Friday Forum this week but we look forward to seeing National and Regional Members on 16 April.

‘Friends of MALG’ update

We are very pleased to announce that we have grown our group of ‘Friends of MALG’ supporters to include Experian and Motonovo Finance. Find out more about how our ‘Friends of MALG’ support our work and how to become one here.

MALG Conference update – book now, pay later

Given the latest Government plans for the gradual lifting of lockdown restrictions, we are very hopeful that we’ll be able to go ahead with our face-to-face conference at No.11 Cavendish Square in London on 28 October 2021. The venue has agreed to confirm all details for the event as and when Covid restrictions have eased. We will therefore not issue invoices until nearer the time when we have clarification. However, you can secure your place by using the booking form on our website here and we would urge you to do so sooner rather than later before the events calendar fills up!

We are looking for sponsorship for the event so if you would like to discuss a bespoke package, please contact bob.winnington@malg.org.uk. Find out more and book your place at www.malg.org.uk/conference

Welcome to new members

We’ve recently welcomed several Local Authorities into MALG Members via our new specialist membership package, the most recent being Folkestone & Hythe District Council and Durham County Council. We now have a membership brochure which outlines all the benefits and packages. You can download it on our website here.

MALG Regional Meetings update

MALG Regional Group Meetings are now being held via Zoom and have been very well attended. Remember, if you are a National Member, you have access to some or all of the regional groups so please take advantage of this membership benefit.

Details of all regional meetings, can be found at www.malg.org.uk/events.

If you aren’t currently being invited to regional meetings and think you should be/want to be, please contact the relevant regional secretary:
