Hello to all our MALG Members and contacts!

It is hard to believe that it is already September 2021 and we are now less than two months away from the first face-to-face MALG Conference since the onset of the pandemic. Before that, we will be attending the first major conference in our wider sector – CSA’s UK Credit & Collections Conference (UKCCC) – in Newcastle on 9 September and hosting our next MALG National Members Meeting via Zoom on 16 September.

Read on for further details of these and other upcoming events…

MALG Conference 2021 theme revealed

The MALG Conference, which will be held at No.11 Cavendish Square in London on 28 October 2021, will focus on ‘Leadership, Diversity & Inclusion’.

We decided upon the theme in response to demand from members to face the challenges of becoming a more diverse sector head-on. As an organisation with no political, commercial, or regulatory agenda, MALG is known for being a driving force behind collaborative efforts to make positive change. Read more about the theme here.

The full programme for the MALG Conference 2021 will be revealed soon but we are delighted to confirm our two keynote speakers, Sheldon Mills, Executive Director, FCA and Caroline Siarkiewicz, CEO, Money and Pensions Service. Further details about the event and the delegate booking form can be found here: www.malg.org.uk/conference

MALG Regional Meetings update

MALG Regional Group Meetings are still being held via Zoom and we have found these to be very well attended. Remember, if you are a National Member, you have access to some or all of the regional groups so please take advantage of this membership benefit.

Please note that the MALG South East Meeting scheduled for October will now take place on 29 September 2021 and the MALG Scotland Meeting scheduled for today has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. The next MALG Scotland Meeting will be on 17 November and an invitation has been sent out via email.

Details of all upcoming regional meetings can be found at www.malg.org.uk/events.

If you aren’t currently being invited to regional meetings and think you should be/want to be, please contact the relevant regional secretary:
