MALG Officers
The Money Advice Liaison Group’s core team of Officers is made up of the Chair, Vice Chair, Chief Executive and Associates who are contracted by the Board to oversee the day-to-day running of the organisation and implementation of its strategic direction.
Fiona Hoyle, Chair
Fiona is Director of Consumer & Mortgage Finance and Inclusion at the Finance & Leasing Association (FLA). She heads up the Consumer Finance Division, whose members provide over a third of consumer credit in the UK. Fiona qualified as a barrister and is responsible for the FLA’s work on responsible lending, forbearance, FCA regulation and diversity and inclusion. Previous roles include senior lawyer at the Council of Mortgage Lenders and Chief Executive of the Council of Property Search Organisations.
Bob Winnington, Chief Executive
Bob Winnington has 30 years' experience in the Banking Sector, including a diverse range of positions within Lending Control, Relationship Management, Area/Regional Management and Senior Service Management. He combines this with many years' experience as a Customer Service Strategy Consultant working across a range of sectors including over six years at the Institute of Customer Service as a National Account Director.
Heidi Oliver, Operations Associate (Absolutely Admin Solutions Ltd)
Heidi Oliver is a dedicated operational support executive who has networked with some of the most significant corporate directors across a multitude of industries. She is a committed professional with over 30 years’ experience as an Executive PA and has worked with MALG since 2019 as it’s fully outsourced operations, business development and events director.
Helen Gill, Marketing Communications Associate (Engage Comms Ltd)
Helen Gill is a multi-award-winning marketing communications professional who worked in a variety of in-house and consultancy comms roles for SMEs and global organisations in the public and private sectors before setting up Engage Comms in 2012. She leads on strategic projects and campaigns which help clients (including MALG since 2017) in niche sectors such as debt and skills achieve their long-term goals.
MALG Board
Working on recommendations from the Chief Executive, MALG’s elected Chair and Board of Directors approves the strategic direction of the organisation, oversees the operation of the group and the work of committees including any special projects, and monitors the finances of the Group. It is also responsible for the creation and monitoring of proper governance for MALG. The Board meets four times a year and holds an AGM.

MALG Committees and Working Groups
MALG sets up temporary or permanent Committees or Working Groups to look at specific areas of work. Each Working Group appoints a Chair, who should have a particular interest in the area of work or the expertise to take forward the specific issue involved.
