The new financial services trade association, which will be formed as the result of merging the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML), the British Bankers’ Association (BBA), the Asset Based Finance Association (ABFA), Financial Fraud Action UK, Payments UK and the UK Cards Association, will be named UK Finance.

UK Finance will officially launch in summer 2017 when its new headquarters, restructuring plans and CEO will be revealed. The organisation’s board will be chaired by former Yellow Pages chairman Bob Wigley.
